How to get there

Kangaroo Island is the third largest island off the coast of Australia.

Getting There By Air: Regular flights are available from Adelaide airport to Kingscote. Regional airline Rex has regular services.

By Car*: The ferry to Kangaroo Island leaves from Cape Jervis on the Fleurieu Penninsula, 80 kms south of Adelaide. The ferry arrives at Penneshaw and Middle River is a 90 minute drive. Stokes Bay Road has now been sealed from the Playford Highway to the intersection with Pratt’s Road. Turn left at Pratt’s Road where it intersects with Stokes Bay Road. Turn left again at the intersection of Pratt’s Road and North Coast Road and drive for about 6km to reach the house.

*Roads on the island are predominently unmade. Some can be very rough, but a four-wheel vehicle is not essential.
